Here are some of them:

Ljunghusen beach  in Sweden has come to be one of my favorite beaches of all! I shot these images during a trip to Sweden to visit my twin sister. Ever since I stumbled upon a number of serene Art prints originally painted by Olivier Raab back in the -70s (also featured on the right hand side of this page), portraying the beautiful Ljunghusen beach, the dunes, and the pretty white beach huts, I was a complete gonner.
When doing some research on the Art prints and the location, I realized to my joy that my sister lives just a short car drive away from this particular beach, making it "a must" each time I visit.

These images I shot on the  coast of Helsinki
in Finland, of which most of them at our family's summer
cottage. This is where all my summers were spent since the
time I was born all through to adulthood. Even now, when
living abroad, I make sure to spend at least a few weeks out
there each summer recharging my batteries.

In addition to Fine Art Photography (many images
also available as Black & Whites),
I also carry  Words Of Wisdom posters,
greeting cardsand last but not least,  my own
which for me are a true labor of love.

My head is now buzzing with new creative ideas!
More products are coming soon.

Please do check out my  shop!
I'd love to hear what you think!

A little bit of Spring in January

The Finn in me is still for a little while longer yearning for a proper winter with lots of snow, however, the kind that stays with us for a few weeks. Not months on end. Yet there's no sign of snow here in the Netherlands, and with the temperatures we are having, not very convinced there will be any this winter.

Instead, it seems we are rapidly moving towards Spring, which I don't terribly mind to be honest. Came across these pastel beauties in my local supermarket while doing groceries, and I simply couldn't resist. So happy I treated myself with flowers :)!

The tulips now get to cheer up the corner in which our Christmas tree was still standing about a week ago.

How cute is this!!

Road sign I came across this morning :). L-O-V-E it!!!
Just had to pull over and take a picture.

beautiful mist

Don't you just love it when you wake up to a clear light blue sky and the sun is just rising above the horizon. It's already quite crisp outside and everything you see is surrounded by this beautiful delicate mist. The mist is somewhat thicker just above the ground making everything look magical when touched upon by the golden sunrays.

I'm glad I had my camera with me this morning
so I could capture the moment.

Have a lovely weekend!

*s*t*a*r* designs

Creating my own decorative pillow cases is something that has been on my mind for a long time now, as have the blue-prints for them. I finally took action, spent some time behind the sewing machine and materialized my ideas. I must say that the end result is very much like I had hoped and imagined it would be, and that "the thing" I had for hearts has now very much spread to stars ;).

Now presenting my first two creations:

The back side of the pillows is a plain linnen look

Take care,

Autumn colors

Like all seasons, Autumn too comes with its various weather conditions. Autumn is partly known for its rains and winds, for its cloudy and somber skies and for leaves falling to the ground leaving the trees bare and colorless.

However, Autumn is also known for its magnificent colors, spreading like flames from tree to tree, bringing a sense of awe and a feeling of joy to anyone who takes the time to stop for a moment, notice, and take it all in.

To brighten up any "grey" Autumn days, here are a few pictures I took recently. It was the most perfect weather for a nice Sunday walk in October - crisp, almost cold, yet, with the sun beaming down from a bright blue sky and adding to the magnificence of the colors "flaming up" from the trees, it couldn't have been better.

Wishing everyone a sunny and colorful continuation of the Fall!

Take care,

Summer cottage moments re-lived

Like every summer, my daughter and I spent our summer vacation at our family's summer cottage on the Southern coast of Finland. This was done in the great company of my sister, brother, aunts, cousins etc. We had great weather, BBQs, midnight sauna’s, but best of all, amazing conversations with LIFE as the main topic.
The best place to re-charge your batteries :D

Have a great day!!
